Patient education is an effective tool for helping patients gain the motivation and acquire the skill in controlling a chronic condition such as asthma.
The Lung Center of the Philippines - Asthma Club is established to educate asthmatics and provide assistance in their needs.
Membership to the LCP Asthma Club requires attending the Asthma Club Workshop (virtually/in-person). The workshop is conducted by the Education Committee and involves trained facilitators who lead small group discussions on what asthma is, what triggers asthma attacks and how to avoid or minimize them, how to monitor the course of the condition, what medications are useful in asthma, and how to cope with asthma attacks effectively.

Services Offered: Virtual Asthma Club Workshop
The Virtual Asthma Club workshops entitled “Kaibigan, Pag-usapan natin ang Asthma” is conducted regularly by the Education Committee.
Participants from across the country as referred by their attending pulmonologist can register and join this workshop.
This online workshop is conducted in a facilitative approach where the lecturers and participants actively participate in the discussion and return demonstration.
